We finally got the aftermarket headlights (led made to look like xenon), Diamond grille, and Illuminated Star mounted on the GLA. They look pretty close to OEM, and we didn’t even have to modify the electrical system to do it like we would have if we tried to retrofit the xenons. There’s no error codes either!
Here’s how it used to look (not ours but same grille and lights):
Here’s what we were aiming for (oem):
Here’s the finished product (DNA Motoring housing + Hikari LED bulbs):
Bonus: In the mechanic we were getting these installed at, I s aw this SLS AMG getting wrapped satin blue with carbon stripe, and oh god it’s too beautiful

That grill is so much better than what you had originally! Nice job!

They look awesome. I didn’t realize OEMs were actually still using xenon lights; i thought everyone switched to LEDs. And I love the illuminated star; as much as it gets shit from some folks, it’s totally an option I’d want if I had a Mercedes.

Yeah, and it sucked because the old man from Maryland who owned the car first got every single option in the book EXCEPT the xenons, which is the hardest thing to retrofit. As for the star, that was actually one of my Mother’s Day gifts for my mom
